Since the beginning of ALEDETA, we have been aware of our business, environmental and social responsibility. Sustainability for us means paying consistent attention to these three areas and the interactions between them. Sustainability plays an important role in leading and accelerating the transition to a circular economy. It is our driver of growth, innovation and productivity and is an essential part of our employee value proposition. We are focused on meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
To achieve sustainable growth, we have developed our ALEDEPACK CARE strategy. It is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which act as a guide for analysing challenges, building strong growth strategies and accessing new markets. In addition, the CARE strategy helps us achieve our recyclability target in practice and on a large scale for all our products by 2023, ahead of the EU timeline.
Plastics will play a vital role in the future economy for a long time to come, especially when it comes to protecting our food and other valuable goods. In order to ensure that the material does not end up in our environment and thereby damage it, we need to move from a linear economy to a circular economy. In this way, we can create a protective environment for our people and our planet.
